    Hi Team,

I just began with a translation of the frontend using Locotranslate. Unfortunately, my translations are not shown. Is your plugin loading texdomains, and if not, is it possible that you fix this?

Edit: I figured out what’s happening. Your plugin does not allow to have the language files in Locotranslate’s own custom folder. It only works when selecting “system” or “author” as the location.

I usually prefer to store translations in Loco’s folder because this makes it less likely that they get overwritten unintentionally.

Maybe you can make it possible to use Locotranslate’s language folder aswell in future.

    Kind regards,

    Bernhard

Edit 2 / other topics and issues:

I also have some other issues and proposals:

    1) It would be nice to be able to suppress the output of the time in the hover view on desktop. Because right now, this displays like “13. Mai 2021 12:00 – 14. Mai 2021 12:00”. But for all-day events and for a rough overview about event dates, we do not need the time of day, but only the date and year (13. Mai 2021).
    2) It would be great to be able to switch off the event detail view in order to only have the calender view, but not the details pages. In my case, I have a project where we would actually need less functionality. Of course I could simply remove the link within the calender by some CSS or Script. But this is not an option as on mobile devices, users get directed to the details page on click. We would need something like a hover view of the event date and time on click for smartphones in this case.
    3) It is nice to have all the different views (cards, masonry, etc.), and there is a dropdown in the calender view enabling users to switch views. Would’nt it be good to have an option to reduce this in the global settings? In our project, the calendar view (monthly) would be absolutely sufficient.

So all of these point in a similar direction: By introducing some more global settings, it would be easier to use your plugin in projects where we have many events, but no need for bookings, details, and the ability to simply display many events without having to introduce locations, e.g.

    Kind regards,

    Bernhard
