• Hello, we use woocommerce 9.5.2 and wordpress 6.7.1.
We encounter a problem in the transaction emails, the woocommerce translations do not work.

We tested on wordpress 6.6 translations work.

We have tested on 2 different sites and we have the same problem.

    Do you have a solution?

    Hello rgires,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand you are facing a problem where translations are not working in the emails.

Could you share more specific details?
Sharing some examples along with screenshots will be helpful.

Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to assist you further.

    Best regards.

Our sits are in French, we have translated the various woocommerce strings in the translation file located in /wp-content/languages/plugins.
We use the woocommerce default subject mail for example for the mail customer on hold order.
The default string is ‘Your {site_title} order has been received!
In the mail customer on hold order we also find our bank details, the order number and the order details table.

The problem we’re encountering is that when we upgrade to wordpress 6.7 no translations appear in the emails, we only see the default strings.

    Hi @rgires,

Thank you for providing more details. Just to confirm, are you saying that when the email is sent, the text “Your {site_title} order has been received” appears in English instead of the translated version? If so, could you let us know if it’s only the email subject that isn’t translated, or does this also affect the email content?

It would also be helpful if you could share a screenshot of a sample email. This will give us a clearer idea of the issue. Looking forward to your response!

    Hello,
the problem doesn’t just affect the subject but also the title of the order summary table and the payment method information, which is bank transfer, as well as all the translations coming from woocommerce.

You will find attached an example of an email before the wp 6.7 upgrade and after.

    Hello rgires,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you confirm if translation issues also appear on the website itself?
For example, is there anything in the WP Admin that is not translated and appears in English?

I want to confirm if this update causes the problem:
Translation loading changes in WordPress 6.7

Lastly, please share your site’s System Status Report with me.
You can paste it into https://pastebin.com and share the link here.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Hello,
we haven’t noticed any translation problems in wp admin or elsewhere
We have deactivated all the plugins on the site and left woocommerce and woocommerce membership activated and it seems that the problem is still there.

    Hi @rgires,

Thanks for following up. Could you share your system status report? Also, how did you handle the translation on your site—was it a custom translation or done using a plugin? If you used a plugin, which one was it?

Lastly, please set WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY to true and check if any errors appear related to what was mentioned here.

Here are the reports for the 2 wordpress versions:

    WP 6.6 : https://pastebin.com/cB1u8Kzc
    WP 6.7.1 : https://pastebin.com/fhc5rEab

We use loco translate but the problem only appears in emails.
We deactivated all the plugins and left only the woocommerce plugin for testing, but the problem still appears.
We’ve also tried the latest version of wordpress 6.7.2 which doesn’t change anything.

    Hello rgires,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you share the screenshots of the emails sent when only WooCommerce was active?
I want to compare them with the screenshots you shared previously:
    https://ibb.co/nrnQxBh
    https://ibb.co/PZS5zjv

This will also help me reproduce the problem on my test site with only WooCommerce active.

Looking forward to your response. ??
