• Hello, I would like to begin by thanking for such an amazing free plugin. We have run into a problem with translations, by researching I figured that this issue was never clearly resolved. We are translating your plugin to Turkish but e-mails sent to customers are not being translated. Here is the status:

    Our website language: Turkish
Admin langugae: English (Set using WP English admin plugin)

Langugae in customizer: Turkish (Works fine here)
E-mails sent to admin: Turkish (Works fine here)
E-mails sent to customers: English (Does not work, this should be in Turkish.)

Further I would like to add that I am not referring to header text that can be edited in customizer, the body text such as product, quantity, price does not gets translated.

We are using Advance Shipment Tracking by Zorem, which also gets translated into English in customers e-mails for some reason. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi @ashwickers,
Hope you’re doing well! Just to confirm, when you send a test email it is showing as translated? Or is this English as well? Have you cleared all your cache?

Hello, the customizer shows the e-mail in Turkish but the received test e-mail is in English. I cleared my cache, and flushed all the other caches.

    Hey,

E-mails sent to customers: English (Does not work, this should be in Turkish.)

are you triggering these emails from that admin or is this when you test logged out of your site and run through a test purchase?
    Ben

    (@ashwickers)

Hi Ben, both of the e-mails triggered from customizer by admin and the ones through test purchase are received in English. The Advance shipment tracking table by Zorem is also translated into English in both of the emails, which is usually in Turkish when we are using the Woocommerce default e-mail template.

I would like to add that I also added the translated files into all 3 directories offered by Loco translate, Author, Custom and System but nothing worked.

    Hmm, I can’t recreate this.

Have you tried deactivating plugins as a test? If you go to woocommerce > status and scroll down to template overrides are any of your emails being overridden.

Can you send me your Turkish translation so I can test?

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1HHYwTKQ3CFvekBcnXBfBULs_V6QYDVPq?usp=sharing

I just test with that language file and didn’t have any issues. I ran the order logged out and as a test guest user on a site I’d set the language to Turkish. The strings in that file product, price, quantity all came through.

    Have you tried deactivating plugins?

Hello Ben, I was testing and realized when I change my WP admin language to Turkish and send a preview e-mail, it is in Turkish (Works fine here) and the e-mails sent to customers are also in Turkish (Again, works completely fine here.)

There has to be a way where the plugin does not recognizes the admin language as English and rather uses the site language, which is Turkish.

We are using English WP admin by khromov

    Thank you

    Hi @ashwickers
Hope you had a goog weekend! Ben is backpacking for a couple of days so I hope you don’t mind me butting in here. If you deactivate English WP admin by khromov does the issue resolve? Have you tried reaching out to the support team over there to see if they have any insight?

Hello Hannah, I deleted the English WP admin by khromov due to lack of support and found another plugin Admin Language Per User by unclego here is the situation now:

Emails sent to admin: English (That is okay since the admin is using English as well)
Emails sent to customers: Turkish except the AST by Zorem is now English which is supposed to be Turkish (On default WooCommerce template it was shown in Turkish)

We use AST to provide tracking to our customers on completed orders. The plugin is completely translated and works fine with woocommerce default template.

    Thank you so much

    Hey,
can you tell me why you need that plugin? Since WordPress 4.7 you’ve been able to set the language per user.

    Hey Ben,

Thank you so much for that, we recently switched from Shopify so we are still learning WordPress features.

Your post helped a lot, I hate keeping the plugin list crowded! Thanks again.

The issue is finally resolved, in fact it was resolved when I deleted the English WP Admin by khromov, this plugin changes your site default language on your backend, because if I go to Loco Translate and check for languages of my website, the deault is checked as English, it is a weird plugin in that sense.

The tracking information being in English is not related to your plugin, it is related to user language, when I set my user language to Turkish, all of the text and tracking information is in Turkish (Perfect!) and when my user language is in English, the tracking information changes to English.

All looks normal. Thank you so much for this wonderful plugin and excellent support.
    Cheers!

    Glad to hear it!

Hello Ben, sorry to bug you guys again but looks like the problem is still persisting.
Everything looks resolved except the same AST by Zorem not being tranlsated in Kadence. In WooCommerce default emails it is translated. ??

    Thank you again.
