    Hello,

unfortunately we have an issue with translating a string with Loco Translate on our Communities Page in our B.One (IoT) Community:

The englisch source string within the BuddyBoss Platform is “You’re %s”, what means in the frontend depending on the users role within a dedicated community/group e.g. “You’re an organisator” or “You’re a member”. The issue is, that when translating into German, in the frontend always is stated “Du bist a Mitglied” or “Du bist a Organisator”. So this “a” is too much in the german translation. Unfortunately I cannot attach a screenshot here.

    What we use is:
    – WordPress 5.9.1
    – BuddyBoss Platform 1.9.0.1
    – BuddyBoss Platform Pro 1.1.9.1

Can you help us here or is this a thing only BuddyBoss can help us with?

    Thanks in advance!

The latter. I just provide the file editor.

It’s the responsibility of the person who writes the source strings that they make sense when placeholders are substituted. Breaking up sentences, translating the components and then gluing them back together usually produces poor grammar.

    Hi Tim,

thanks a lot for this fast reply. We already in parallel contacted BuddyBoss.
