It translates all the string fine except for URLs and images.

In the editor it shows the correct English link, but when I open the page, the link is still the original Hungarian one. It’s the case with all the links on my website.

Do you have a way to solve this? I am thinking adding a code or something which says that if language = eng, then add this link. But I am unsure how and where to add this and how.

Also my other work around would have been to create seperate menu items where I create seperate pages, but I do not get the option of showing one menu item in one language or another.

    Please, help.

This is an example of the issue at the buttom of the page:

  • Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Would you mind showing us a screenshot of the translation editor where the first mentioned problem happens?

Translating the slugs of your website and having separate menu items depending on the language are premium features of TP unfortunately.

You can use our Conditional Shortcode Based On Language to display different content for different languages https://translatepress.com/docs/translation-shortcode/

    Let me know about this!

I would like to emphasize that it is not slugs that causes the problem, it’s regular links or images in the text. In the screenshot you can see that in the English version it’s “Privacy Policy” but it still directs to the Hungarian document when clicked on in the published version.

    Hello there,

What you can try is to enable the “Force language in custom links” feature from Settings->TranslatePress->General tab.

This feature will add the language slug in these customs links and this should lead you to that specific language.

Try this and let us know!

    Kind Regards,

    Thank you!

This actually helped, but the other way around: I had to disable it, and now it works.

    Cheers!
