    Hey there,

I have problems with translating the button text from the course completed action widget.Button

The string should be “Kursübersicht” but the letter “ü” cannot displayed somehow. Where do I actually have to change the text? On the widget itself or in the language file?

  • Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I am guessing the button you are referring to shows up once the student has completed the course. Is this correct?

If yes then you need to change/update the text on the button in the Course Completed Actions widget by editing the “Course Completed” page.

That’s what I already did… As you can see the letter “ü” cannot be displayed.

    Hi again,

Thanks for getting back to us! I checked the German translation of Sensei LMS, and the word courses-overview seems to have been correctly added as kursübersicht.

    You can check this here.

I also checked by changing the text on the button on my test website, and it shows up correctly.

You can see this here https://d.pr/i/SRd9q4.

Can you tell me what exactly you did do on your website to change the text? When you make changes to the button’s text in WordPress editor, does the change not show up on previewing the page?

Yeah the slug is translated correctly.”Find more courses”. At first I tried to translate the “Find more courses” with Loco. If I edit the course completed page with gutenberg and add the Course Completed Actions the translated string shows up correctly but if I open the page on the frontend I get the letter “ü” again as A1/4. If I add a standard button and write the same text in the button it shows correctly on the frontend as you can see here:

But I guess the easiest thing now is to handle this with a “own” button.

    Hi again,

That’s great to hear! Thanks for letting us know.

I’m going to close this thread now, but if you have any further questions or need some more help, you’re welcome to reply here or open another thread.
