    Hi,

    actually the translation doesn’t work.
If you dont do the captcha, the message is always “Please complete captcha”, though language is set as german.

Is there a way to translate this text?

    Best regards
    André

    Hi @andreschroedercc,

We do not translate strings in our plugin, we just make them translatable. A German native speaker should make the translation. You can contribute to the translation here and propose translation to all or any subset of strings.

When done, you can reach the German translation team and ask them to verify and accept your translations. Upon acceptance, you will see translations on your website instantly.

This would be your great contribution to the plugin.

    Hi @kaggdesign,

    thank you for your response!
that is clear ?? I translated the sentence “Please complete captcha” to “Bitte l?sen Sie das Captcha” but how to display it instead “Please complete captcha”? How to make translation work?

Language is set to “German” translation files .mo .po are uploaded to lang/plugins/

Language is set to “German” translation files .mo .po are uploaded to lang/plugins/

    hcaptcha-for-forms-and-more-de_DE.mo
    hcaptcha-for-forms-and-more-de_DE.po

But it stills shows the text in english.

The usage of .mo files is an old-fashioned way to make the translations. It is better to use GlotPress, as I described above. In this case, your translations would be available to all German-speaking users.

If you still want to use .mo file for yourself only, you should place it into wp-content/hcaptcha-for-forms-and-more/languages directory. Or, you can use wp-content/languages/plugins directory (not lang).

    Hi @kaggdesign,

thank you for your answer. The “old fashioned way” with .mo .po files in both directories does not work, I have these files in the both directories and GlotPress is another external plugin, right? I never used it before and hcaptcha translation worked before some time without it right?

I really don’t know what has changed and not only english language is displayed.

The translations here for german are waiting. How long this will take?

I cannot answer your question. I have no relation and no influence on the German Translation Team mentioned above. You should reach them and ask to approve the translation.
