• Hi!

I’ve just translated the RSVP into Swedish but it’s still only showing english copy on the site. I’ve created an .po file and compiled an .mo file and placed it in the /plugins/rsvp/language/ folder and i’ve also tried to create a /wp-content/language/ folder and placed the .mo file there as well. But without success. And of course i’ve used the define(‘WPLANG’, ‘rsvpmaker-sv_SE’); and also tried to just rename the mo-file to ‘sv_SE.mo’. I’ve both tried poedit and the codestyling localization plug for wordpress.

So i’m wondering if its the naming of the mo-file that is wrong or what should i do? I only want translation for the RSVP plugin, not for the whole wordpress installation.

Can someone please help me? ??

The correct directory to upload those files into would be:

    /wp-content/plugins/rsvpmaker/translations

You might want to look at the translations that had previously been created as a point of comparison. Maybe try turning on the Spanish translation to confirm you have things configured right. The reference file you would use to retrieve the words and phrases tagged for translation would be rsvpmaker.pot

To be clear, this does not actually translate the copy, just the names of buttons, menus, and other UI elements.

BTW, if you come up with a good Swedish translation, please share it so others can also benefit from it.
