  • I have the same issue. I had three languages set up, but the client said that he doesn’t need english at the momemnt, so I disabled it. After this the menu doesn’t change to it’s language, it alwayas stays the same. Other parts are working fine.

It’s very strange, because only the menu items title doesn’t change, the URL’s are correct, but the text isn’t in it’s proper language

I have the same issue, impossible to translate the menu. Did you find a solution?

Also I can’t translate pages, it only works on projects and blog posts.
    Any clue?

    Thanks a lot.

Same menu issue here (WP 4.5).

@emiliepad my pages are translating correctly

    The issue is on github

It seems that something is breaking the menu with the 4.5 update.

I found the solution, when you edit the menu from Appearence->Menus add the desired menu items, and afterwards edit each item with the corresponding language code before it : [:en]contact[:es]contacto and so on, but be sure to do it for each at once.

If you later edit only one menu item, that one will change correctly but the other ones will not. So everytime you edit the menu you will have to re-edit all the items.

    Hope this helps you guys!
    Cheers!

Same here… Thanks for the tip ??

Hope there will be a better solution than re-editing all the menu every time !!!

    Same pain here.

    Found a permanent solution yet?

Galfi that’s a workaround not a solution. Are you suggesting to change the labels each time we edit the navigation ?? I have around 40 menu items on each site. I have 7 sites and they all are 4 languages.

As long as there is no real solution the quickest way to update the menu is to update mysql directly in phpmyadmin.

All posts with a menu_order value are the menu labels.

With this method it is possible to update only 1 label at a time.

Or else as suggested on Github :

Settings > Languages > Advanced and choose RAW instead of the LSB

I am closing this thread as new version should resolve it, if you still have problem, report it via https://qtranslatexteam.wordpress.com/contact-us/
