    Hi,

I’m trying to set up 2 different translations for my website, one for UK visitors & one for US visitors. I’ve tried to set up both languages but am not able to do so, as they have the same code, is it possible to do this?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hello,

You just need to manually selec a different language code for the second language.

    Hello,

I have a similar issue – can you not add in a country code to the URL instead? So you could have: /gb/en/ and /us/en/?

    Thanks.

@bluetrainmatt This is not a feature of the plugin. But a PHP developer should be able to do such customization by extending Polylang classes.

@chouby Thanks for the response. Are there any known issues with customizing and extending the classes that I should be aware of before talking to a PHP developer about doing this? Can it be done to allow for updates, etc. in the future? Or are you basically locked into that version once you customize (for example)? I appreciate your help.

Hello, I have the exact problem as mikee1001. The answer “You just need to manually select a different language code for the second language.” does not work since wordpress sent the 2 following messages :
The new local code is not valide
the laguage code shoud be unique

Therefore, it is not possible to have several local language codes for one same language code “en”.

What else can I do? (I am not a developper) Delete le language code “en_US” and start from scratch with a new “en_GB”?
