Translation file names

    Hi, after update to version 1.2.0 my translation files not work anymore.
    What are the correct translation files file names and path?

    I rollback to previous version 1.1.2 and in this version, my translation files works:
    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\sk_SK.po
    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\sk_SK.mo

    In version 1.2.0 i try this – but nothing works, widget still in ENG:
    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\sk_SK.po
    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\sk_SK.mo

    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\bp-notifications-widget-sk_SK.po
    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\bp-notifications-widget-sk_SK.mo

    ..\wp-content\languages\plugins\bp-notifications-widget-sk_SK.po
    ..\wp-content\languages\plugins\bp-notifications-widget-sk_SK.mo

    BTW I can share Slovak translation…

    I am sorry for the delayed reply.

    The new file names are now buddypress-notifications-widget-Locale.mo.
    In your case it will be buddypress-notifications-widget-sk_SK.mo

    We made this change to allow using WP translation recommendations. here is the correct path.
    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\bp-notifications-widget-sk_SK.po
    ..\wp-content\plugins\buddypress-notifications-widget\languages\bp-notifications-widget-sk_SK.mo

    Both will work.

    Translation dont work, I have “bp-notifications-widget-es_ES.po” and “.mo” but I see widget in english.

    Hi Mauricio,
    Sorry about this. I checked here afterseeing your comment on our blog.
    I have posted a reply there and just copying here too.

    Please name the translated file “buddypress-notifications-wdget-es_ES.mo” and put it in wp-content/languages/plugin/ directory. This is the best place for future safety.

    Alternatively you can put it in the plugins /languages directory too(but with the updated name).

    Finally, I have it working fine in Spanish, the correct filenames for languages are:

    buddypress-notifications-widget-es_ES.mo
    buddypress-notifications-widget-es_ES.po
