    Hi,

I’m using qTranslate-XT for translation. On all my pages I use the WP Popular Posts widget in my sidebar. It worked fine until the last WP PP Plugin update – but since then it shows both languages, German and English, side by side in the title.

    Example:
    German title correctly displayed: Anatomie
    English Title correctly displayed: Anatomy
    Currently displayed title: [:de]Anatomie[:en]Anatomy[:]

What do I have to do to make the widget work correctly again?

    Any ideas appreciated.

    Hi @alexisms,

I’d like to help but unfortunately WordPress Popular Posts has never provided official support for the qTranslate-XT plugin (only WPML and Polylang are currently supported) so I have no idea what’s going on.

Try asking the qTranslate-XT team, maybe they can help figure out what the problem is.

So I had some spare time just now and decided to give qTranslate-XT a try for the first time ever. Gotta say that I liked the plugin!

Anyways, I’m writing to let you (and anyone else reading this) know that I made a couple of changes to the plugin that fixes titles not being translated when using qTranslate-XT: f6f771a – Improves compatibility with qTranslate-XT. This doesn’t mean that I’m providing official support for qTranslate-XT, it’s just that the fix was easy enough that I decided to included it with the next release of the WPP plugin.

Wow! That’s a great fix, thank you so much! Works for all my pages showing the problem.
