Translation copy when updating

Hello,

I have two translations for woocommerce plugin, one custom and one from system. I made a custom one because I wanted to keep my translations between updates. The point is, when woocommerce updates and adds new strings and I sync the custom file, I get the new strings, but without the translations from the system file. How can I get the translations also when syncing? Thanks
