After the newest update 11.1 the plugin doesn’t translate my text anymore. I have created a ppmo-fi.po and .mo files, and translated the needed strings, but nothing appears on the site. It did fine before, but after the update when I re-added the .po and .mo files to the language folder nothing happened.

  • Hi,

We didn’t change much about translation in recent release, however please try to install plugin again. It may fix issue.

I tried to install the plugin again, and also tried to create the language files again, but no change. It still shows them in English, like in here https://www.greenjoycelebrate.com/product/frances-emerald-cut-timanttisormus/

    Hi,

well we didn’t hear any complain from other clients, even we have thousands of active users with multile language settings. We will continue to look into this issue. Meawhile if you see any hint of fix please must let us know.

    Thanks.

What is the correct way to translate this plugin? Could it be that others are using WPML or some other string translator? Should the translation work if I have created .po and .mo files out of the original .po file you have in languages folder. So now in the languages folder I have ppmo.po, ppmo-fi.po and ppmo-fi.mo files. Should this be working?

    Hi,

well normally it works with WPML and WPML String translations. And translation are ready.

I would rather use .mo and .po files than upload more plugins. Here are how my languages folder looks like, and these were working fine before.

    Hi,

well, I have checked and everything is placed as per required to make it multi language compatible. It should read the language files.

    HI,

i have tried to rename my files, try to delete the original file and leave only the new po and mo files.. I’m running out of this to try and the text still appears in english on the site. So weird.. Could the problem be that the original language file is a .po file and not .pot? Is .po file enough to support the translation?

I tried to deactivate theme and plugins (except woocommerce), but no change. I notice with the new update you have added .pot and other language files into the language folder. I did the whole creation of .mo and .po again, but no change.
I added loco translate plugin, and it gives me following error message:

“This bundle isn’t fully configured, so we don’t know what the following files are for. Click the setup tab to complete the bundle configuration.
2 files can’t be matched to a known set of strings”

I assume these 2 files are the Finnish .mo and .po files? Why are they not working but all the other languages that you have added are working?

I have tried to translate also with outdated WPML and WPML String translations plugins, because once I had the subscription but now that it has ended I can’t get new free updates anymore. At least with the outdated plugins it didn’t work.
