• Hello,

I’m trying some quizzes and I have two problems with translation :

    A. In the plugin parameters, in the translation section, when I click on save, I have multiple errors “Phrase to translate, “blablabla”, does not match an existing phrase.
Even for bits I actually translated.

    B. The word order is not the same in FR and ENG. So the FR translation is not correct since it just assembles bits of a phrase in the ENG order. How can I fix this? The weirdest phrase is in the end, at the feedback (“In this 9-question quiz, etc.”). How could I fix this, maybe with custom feedback instead of this patchwork phrase ?

Thank you. The plugin is great!

    Hello,

Could it maybe be a solution to replace
    – “in this”
    – “quiz”

    by a whole sentence :
    – “in this %s-question quiz,”

    ?

This is what exists for the flashcards, but apparently not for the quizzes.

    Thank you ??

Are you still having trouble with “Phrase to translate does not exist”? Both the original (English) and the translation should be entered. For example, “translating” “OK, Ive got it!” to “I’m good”:

OK, I’ve got it!; I’m good

Your suggestion to use whole sentences (or at least longer phrases) rather than the shorter pieces is a good one. An issue is the pluralization in some cases. Let me see if I can provide a solution. Give me a day or two…

Well I tried to translate, but apparently couldn’t save since I had that message. I deleted those sentences from the list (copy-pasted them in my OneNote just in case I would need them back). So no, I don’t have the error any more, but I don’t know if some bits of translation are missing.

I think it may also be because there were multiple occurences of the same sentences. Since I’m not sure if things are missing or in double, could you post somewhere a list of the needed sentences?

Thank you for trying to provide a solution to the short bits issue ??

Only <phrase to translate>; <translation> pairs that are in that second box under “Customize button labels, etc.” will be translated. So deleting them deletes the translation…

The first box, “Select phrase to translate” should make it quite easy to find all the available sentences. Clicking the one you want to translate will put it in the second box.

Let me know if this doesn’t work for you!

Hello: new release Qwizcards version 3.71 includes improved translation phrases, and an option on Settings > Qwizcards to see all translatable phrases.

    Hello,

Thank you for the update. I translated some and clicked on save, and now I have the error messages again :
Phrase to translate “xxxphrasexxx” does not match an existing phrase.

    I don’t know what I did wrong ??

Could you send a screenshot of the second input box under “Customize button labels, etc.” to [email protected]? Also, is your site using a language setting other than “English (United States)” (on Settings > General)? I haven’t tried anything else…
