Hi again,
There is one text that seems to be automatically translated:
“Use on legal basis of: Compliance with a legal obligation/Consent”
Can I control this translation somewhere? Thanks!

Hi again Matthew,
I really appreciate your patience with all my questions.
However I just installed Real Cookie banner on a completely fresh/updated WordPress install and with no other plugins + default theme with the same result.
Everything works except “History of your privacy settings” -link (same as described above)I certainly plan to purchase the pro version because I really need a go to solutions for several sites. However I just don’t want to find out it’s not compatible afterwards for some reason. So far I’m really impressed with Real Cookie Banner after trying lots of different plugins, the content blocker is brilliant! but not sure how to proceed now…is there anything I could try?
Do you know for sure that it’s compatible with WP Engine cache platform? Thanks!
Hi again!
Thanks for your words, and I am confident, we will find a solution for this.
Do you know for sure that it’s compatible with WP Engine cache platform?
Yes, we have many customers using WP Engine + their caching mechanism.
What other plugins and themes do you have active? Can you please send a technical report of your website? The health export will help us to better answer your question. Learn where to get the health export in your WordPress! Note: The technical report may include references or URLs to your website. If you do not want to share these publicly, censor the technical report accordingly.
Also, can you please try to reproduce the issue via a sandbox system like https://wpsandbox.net/ or https://tastewp.com/ and send the link here?
Regards
Matthew ??Hi again,
I tried reproducing the issue at wpsandbox but here everything worked fine, no issue.
Then I tried something I had not yet tested which is accessing the “History of your privacy settings” -link while logged as admin (now back on my testing site at WP Engine) and this also works fine, however as soon as I logout and try the link as a public user there is the same issue as described earlier…this strongly makes me think that it’s WP Engine cache related (since there is no cache on admin users)
To be honest the “History of your privacy settings” -link is not something I was planning on using on our sites any way but it would be nice to have it resolved.Below are health export from my testsite at WP Engine

Would it be possible to disable consent logging -functionality?
Am I right that this is not a requirement for staying GDPR compliant but instead considered a “good practice”?Thanks!
Hi again!
however as soon as I logout and try the link as a public user there is the same issue as described earlier…this strongly makes me think that it’s WP Engine cache related
This looks like you are using a WordPress REST API blocking mechanism which does not allow non-logged in users to access the REST API. For this, you should contact WP Engine or read about it here: https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/wordpress-rest-api-does-not-respond/
Am I right that this is not a requirement for staying GDPR compliant but instead considered a “good practice”?
No, the history cannot be deactivated as this is required by GDPR Article 7: https://www.privacy-regulation.eu/en/article-7-conditions-for-consent-GDPR.htm
1. Where processing is based on consent, the controller shall be able to demonstrate that the data subject has consented to processing of his or her personal data.
Regards
Matthew ??Thank you for your replay and the explanation!
I was in contact with WP Engine and they tell me there is nothing blocking non-logged in from REST API. I also searched browser console for any 404 errors.
Thanks!
Hi again @aggk !
I also searched browser console for any 404 errors.
Can you please share a screenshot of the network request response
/consent
after opening the history dialog?Hi again,
Not sure if this is what you wanted?
…I have noticed that just before the “History of your privacy settings” dialog window appear the dialog window is bigger than shrinks but I can never tell if there is any extra info that shows up there.
Thanks!
Hi @aggk !
Yes, this is correct. Now click on the “consent” row and open the “Response” tab and send a screenshot again ??
Hi again @aggk !
Ok, the response looks OK, but for some reason the given consents are not read. So, let’s identify, if the consent could be saved correctly.
Can you please share a similar screenshot, but now when you give a consent? Also, please send a screenshot of the “Cookies” tab next to “Response”.
Hi again,
Her it comes:

Hi again!
Is it possible, that you create a clone of this website for testing purposes which you can hold online for about 24 hours, so I can check this? I do not need any credentials, only the public link, so I can check the cookie banner functionality.
Hi,
Were you able to follow the link there?
Thanks!
