    Hallo,

I’m using a child theme of oceanwp with WPML. I can’t find a way to translate the title of the “sub-widgets”, like “Get in touch with us”, “Address:”, “Phone:” etc…

    Is it possibile?

    Thanks

    Hello,

These widgets are coming from the Ocean Extra plugin. Try to edit the language file of OceanWP Extra plugin and check it works or not.

    Hello,

I don’t know what you mean with “edit the language file of OceanWP Extra plugin” but I scanned all my plugins for strings and I found nothing.

I just checked the language file under the Ocean Extra > Language folder and all the strings are available there for the widgets. Try to open the language file using a POEdit tool and check the strings.

I checked that folder too and the strings are not there. But shouldn’t they go in the wp database since you can customize them?
Maybe I misunderstood what you said?

Did you open ocean-extra/languages/ocean-extra.pot file using a POEdit tool? All the strings are available in the file. Did you update the Ocean Extra plugin to the latest version?

I was looking in the theme folder, not in the plugin folder, sorry… :/
Anyway I created a new .po file for my language with poedit but it still doesn’t work. I can see the strings in WPML > String translation but they don’t get translated. My guess is that the strings “Address:”, “Phone:” that I see are not the strings that refer to what’s inside the input field called “Title” but something else (the label of the sub-widget?).
In fact if I change the string into something else it doesn’t appear in WPML > String translation.

    To make it more clear:
    Oceanwp-screen1

    green: get translated
    red: does not get translated

Hello, have you checked with WPML? Sometimes you just need to do one thing and it works.
