    Hi–

I have started building a site in English, added Polylang to translate everything into French as a 2nd language, created the necessary pages for each language (French content pending translation from English), and created the extra French menu.

The first page I am trying to translate is the ‘French’ version of the homepage that has several sections created using Nimble Builder.

When I navigate to the ‘French’ homepage and click on customize and make changes to the sections in Nimble Builder –my changes are showing up on the English version too …?

Please can you advise how to do the translation without it affecting the other Homepage.

    Much gratitude, Michele

Thanks for reporting this translating issue.
We’ll test it on our end to see if there’s a solution.
    I’ll keep you posted.

    Brilliant –thank you Nicolas!

    Hi VA Cape and Nicolas,

I have the same problem with the start-page in the second language.(german and english),
With the other pages and posts of the website it works fine in two languages.
Just for the start-pages are no different content possible.
It would be great if somebody can solve the problem.

    Thanks, Heike.

Hi Nicolas –I am wondering if there is a solution to this issue yet as I am ready to launch my website but can’t without the 2nd language homepage.

Hi, yes there’s a solution with the latest version of the Nimble Builder.
Now you should be able to use a home page with different sections for each languages.
For that, you needd to use a static page as home page ( like you already did I think in Settings > Reading ), and make sure that you have created a translated version of this page.
Let me know if it helped.

    Thank you Nicolas–
    You Rock!

I have just updated to the latest Nimble Builder and Customizr versions.

Having already created all duplicate translated pages including a blank homepage, and a different menu –I now face a different issue…

As mentioned the entire homepage is created using Nimble sections –many of them.

The translated homepage shows up perfectly as a blank page –now the task of reproducing all sections created with exact layout settings etc must begin…

Is there possibly a way to copy and paste sections on other pages?

In your Nimble release notes for v1.3.1 I see there are several exciting upcoming features including the ability to save sections/templates –any idea when this might be ready?

The new feature allowing to save sections is ready in its beta version.
I am tempted to publish it before the end of the year, but it is an important feature that requires many tests. I know from experience that no important features should be published before taking a few days off…
Thus, the possibility of saving a section will be released at the beginning of January, probably the second week.
The full template saving feature should be ready a few weeks later.
And yes, this will make it way easier to translate pages, I totally agree.
    Thanks for your feedback.
