Translating a theme

  • Hi,

    I’m making a theme and was wondering how I can translate it? I’d like to use the WordPress standard way of doing things but the Translations side of things isn’t clicking for me and I need some help.

    I found out that you can get Poedit to create .po and .pot files but I can’t afford to buy the software to do this just yet. So I was wondering if there is a template/quick start guide?
