Translatepress icons only one language, images are all huge

I am using translatepress on my website to make a multilingual website. I want to add icons or images in the menu, but the dashicon icons only show up in English, and when the language is switched to Japanese they dissapear. The Fontawesome icons don’t show up.

With an image, they show up in both languages, but it doesn’t get scaled down and appears at it’s default size. I tried to make an icon at the same size as I wanted it, but then it showed up very pixelated.

If I have a choice, I’d like to use images as icons and have it appear at the default sizes, but I can live with icons if they show up in both languages.

I am using the Kids Campus Pro theme.
