• Hello! I noticed that the German translation of Panoramic is almost finished so I downloaded it, but I can not get it to work with the translation. In what directory should I upload it? (I use WPML for a multilingual page), so the basic of the site is English, but I want to upload and use the German MO/PO file as well. Where can I do that to make it work? Do I need to rename the file?

    Thanks!

    Hi @siggiboy81

You will need to download the MO version of the translation file which is listed in the dropdown on the translations page as “Machine Object Message Catalog (.mo)”.

Once you’ve done that you need to rename the file according to the language / country codes. The naming convention of the .mo files is based on the ISO-639 language code (e.g. ge for German) followed by the ISO-3166 country code (e.g. _DE for Germany). So your file will be named “de_DE.mo”.

Copy this file to the “languages” folder of the Panoramic theme and then log in to your WordPress admin and go to Settings > General. Locate “Deutsch” in the Site Language dropdown and Save.

Your site will now load all of the translations from the file.

    Hope this helps!
