Translate “The image could not be loaded”

  • Hi Greg,

    Where can I translate “The image could not be loaded” ?

    I got the error while trying to see a big picture of a png-file.

    Is jpg/jpeg-files the best solution for images?

    Uploading of jpg/jpeg-files takes 6-7 seconds for 1 MB. I wish it was 2-3 seconds.
    Uploading png-files takes around 14 seconds for 1 MB.

    Hi,
    1. where do you see the “The image could not be loaded” phrase? It does not seem to be a part of WPAdverts.

    2. in case of pictures (photos) the jpg should be the best format, as the jpgs have the smallest file sizes, the png files are useful when you need transparent background, or lossless compression which is rarely the case on the classifieds site, more about these two image formats you can find here https://www.digitaltrends.com/photography/jpeg-vs-png-photo-format/

    3. the time it takes to upload a file does not depend on the image format, only on the image size. If you feel the files are uploading slowly on your server it would be best to ask your hosting support about it, from the PHP level it is not possible to control how fast the image will upload, that is PHP will try to upload it as fast as possible.

    Do you have Lightbox enabled in wp-admin / Classifieds / Options / Core / Gallery panel? it seems to be disabled.
