    Hello,

I recently added something to do this. You can go to Sublanguage settings and select “Nav Menu Items” in “translate post type”. After saving, go to Sublanguage>Nav Menu Items and find the item corresponding to your custom link and edit it.

    Thank You.

    great!

    Hello Maxime Schoeni,

I have a question about linking in the menu on the same page. I’ve build a ‘one page website’ and when I click my menubutton the url in the main language dutch is ‘https://www.exampleurl.nl/nl/index.php#blog’ or only ‘#blog’ this is working fine. When the page is translated to englisch and I use the url ‘https://www.exapleurl.nl/en/index.php#blog’ or ‘#blog” then the menulink goes automaticly to the dutch page. Is there a methode for to make a internal link in the same englisch page?

I hope you understand my description.

    Hello,

Sorry, no, I’m not sure to understand. So you have a one-page-website with a language switch and a menu. It works fine when on your main language, but when you switch language and navigate to some section using the menu you get back to the main language. Is that your problem or did I understand all wrong?

    Hi Maxime Schoeni,

    Yes that is the problem!

Hereby some url’s wich are working allright in a normal link but when it’s a menubutton then the link is going to the baselanguage with the same url used as beneath.

    https://www.persblik.nl/persblik/nl/#blog
    https://www.persblik.nl/persblik/en/#blog

    See the menubutton:
    Wie, hoe & wat
    Why, how & what

Thank you for replying to me!

    Greetings, Astrid

Ok, so click on “Sublanguage” in the menu to open the sublanguage settings, then check “Nav Menu Items” beside “Translate post types”, then go to “Nav Menu Items” (sublanguage submenu item), select your button and edit the title and url of the translation.

Please ask me if you did all this and it’s still not working.

Hi, Yes I did that! It isn’t working in the menu translation. In a textlink there is no problem.

I think there is a problem in the javascript, the url of the button looks right but for some reason a redirection occurs when it is clicked… If you right click and open in another windows it works fine. Did you code the theme yourself, or can you ask support to the theme author?

    Hi Maxime Schoeni,
Thank you very much for your effort. I wrote my problem down on the webdorado forum now. I hope they can help me.
