Translate text in editor

  • Hi,

    It can be good to have a way to make automatic translation inside wordpress editor.

    Actually i copy past my html code in Deepl translator, translate it and copy past in my wordpress editor, and then correct translation and html error.

    Deepl translation don’t add code inside translation like google translate and can translate html text, but i must clean text before because he translate all like <strong> will be translated, and in some language he don’t keep balise like ‘<h2>’.

    It’s a lot of work when have lot of article to translate.

    Then a translator inside wordpress editor can be very usefull.

    If someone know solution, plugin, who can do that, i’m interested or it can be a good complement plugin for WP Multilang.

  • I’m using https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/deepl/ in combination with Gutenberg editor. I mark one paragraph, use the addon shortcut, then can select and modify the translation in the addon window, just like on the deepl webpage. Then I copy the translation, close the addon window and paste the text.

    This is quite quick, even though you must go through the whole document paragraph by paragraph.

    Certainly it would be nice to automate this, or even integrate into the editor. But so far, I have found no plugin or solution compatible with WP Multilang.

    Hi Itrichter,

    Paragraph by paragraph, if i do with this method it take me more one year for make translation!

    I try to keep link, image and video of my article, then i copy html code of article inside Deepl, but as text is limited, for long article i need sometime open 5 ou 6 tab with Deepl and cut my article inside.

    I find a plugin:
    DeepL Pro API translation plugin but i don’t know if it work with WP Multilang, i ask them.

    And also it’s not free.
