translate slug custom permanent link of author page

  • Hi Dennis, hi all,

    First of all, thank you for the great plugin. I have used it for a couple of months without issue.

    I recently changed the permanent link structure to custom. It is /my-slug/%postname%/ now, and /mein-slug/%postname%/ on the other page.

    The author page at mywebsite.com/en/my-slug/author/authorname is not linked to mywebsite.com/de/mein-slug/author/authorname.

    I have checked the msls rewrites settings. It seems that the posts slug cannot be modified there. However, the products slug took the value from products page’s permanent link.

    If any one can show me how to fix this, that would help me a lot. Thank you and have a good day.

    More info: this issue happens not only on the author page but also on product category page where I customized the slug. I guess if one could change those slugs in the msls settings, that would solve the problem.

    for those facing the same situation, I have a workaround. While waiting for a solution (I looked at the code on github, and know that I won’t be able to fix the thing), I am using a redirection plugin to redirect the wrong url to the correct one. Code 301 is still better than code 404. Hope that it helps.
