Hey @doxy, thanks for the heads up! We indeed have a bug with this on our hands — deploying a fix in a bit for this. Could you please let me know if version 2.1.1 resolves this for you after updating?

    Cheers!

Hi there, it sounds like there’s an issue going on with the translation — the .pot file does not need to be changed. Are you using something like Poedit to generate the .po file?

I’d recommend checking out this guide on Translating WordPress Plugins (requires free signup), or this one to generate the .po / .mo files and add them to your site.

    Hi Beka ??

    I’m using poedit …)
I was already translating other .po files (without problems.

Simple say that this file is in the language PT, and “we” put the translation. After save the file, It is generated .po and .mo file.

I enter the files (with PT translate) into the 18n / languages folder.

    Can you help me please?

Please, accept my invite in skype.

I can give you the access server

Hey @doxy, I’m afraid we’re unable to provide support via Skype or other methods, sorry!

Could you please double-check the naming of your files? I’ve translated the plugin into French myself and everything works as expected (I used Loco Translate). Both the .mo and .po file need to be placed in the languages folder, and should be named as such:

    wc-extra-sorting-options-pt_PT.po
    wc-extra-sorting-options-pt_PT.mo

The naming must be exact, otherwise the translation won’t work. Cheers!

    Thanks Beka..

The problem was the name of files ??

    With wc-extra-sorting-options-pt_PT.po works :):):):)

How could I know that the name of the files? How could have discovered it?

    thans

Woohoo glad to hear it works now!

The file names should use the text domain + language in the file name once you’ve generated them, so in this case wc-extra-sorting-options is the text domain to use in the file name.

    Cheers!
