I would like to translate the words Continue Reading in the slider inte another language. I would also like to change the placeholder Search to another language. How do I do this?

  • With a software named Poedit, import the .pot file and start translating. By the way I just started on a complete translation of the theme to Swedish, fro your nick I assume you are Swedish. Hold out a day or two and I will share the file.

    Hi PattayaNic,

If you could share your Swedish translation file to us, we will keep this in our theme and make it available to all. Also credit shall be given to you. You can mail the language file at [email protected]. We will be grateful to you.

    Hello,
i did a Poedit but “continue reading” doesn’t change in the slider excerpts?
    any idea why?

    mrdares,
It takes some time before it changes. I had the same problem, everthing got translated except the “continue reading” left it over night and in the morning it was there. It can take some time before changes get through the webhotel.

    Theme Horse,

Sorry, the language got stuck in my “To Do” box.. will look into it.

    thanks,
indeed took some time, but it changed. I think it changed after emptying cache and then pressing a save button in the admin panel…

according to Sanjiv regarding another matter :

After you make the changes also you may still not see the changes due to caching. So, go to theme options and click on one of the save all changes button of any bar. You will only then see the changes.

    Hope this helps.

Is the Swedish language available now? How do I change it? Or do I still need to use Poedit?

    Hi Olundell,

Sorry but Swedish language is not available now. But you can use Poedit software to create translation file. Here is a tutorial if you like to have a look https://betterwp.net/wordpress-tips/create-pot-file-using-poedit/ .
If PattayaNic could provide us with the Swedish translation file we will keep it in our theme folder and provide to all. Hope PattayaNic will wrap up his to do list task soon ??
