Translate all files in plugin

    I’m trying to translate a plugin called WP User Groups. It came without any translation so I created a lang folder in the plugin folder and then used Loco to create a template.

    However, the template only includes a handful of words so I assume it is just looking at one file. I tried using Advanced Settings to add paths to the plugin’s php files and folders but it made no difference.

    I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

    This works out of the box for me. All I had to do was create the assets/lang directory that the plugin declares as its Domain Path. Creating the template in Loco produced 38 strings.

    I’m not sure what you’re doing wrong either, but there is no need to configure anything in the advanced tab for extraction to work. Rest your bundle config and try again – post any errors or warnings you see.

    Extraction aside, this plugin will never display any translations because it doesn’t actually attempt to load a translation file. This has nothing to so with generating a template, but I recommend you submit it as a bug to the author. While you’re at it, you could ask nicely that they also ship a translations template.

    Thanks for getting back to me. I was getting the 38 strings but no translation. Now I know why it wasn’t displaying.

    I’m not able to translate words from my theme. I use the theme Alsen and I want to translate CONTINUE READING expression that appears on the main page, just below the right of the summary of each posting. I’ve entered the LOCO plugin, I typed the translation and clicked to save but still the word continues in English. What did I do wrong? Thanks.
