translatable messages

    Hey again.

    There are some messages I would like to be able to edit and translate (qtranslate-like).

    I think these are hardcoded into to plugin…maybe they are coming from my end, but I cant figure out where.

    “no bookings found” for the bookings list ( I was able to find this hardcoded into the rsvp.php plugin file, and changed it to work, but this will revert the next time I update…)
    “no responses yet!” for the bookings list
    There is a place on the events tab for a “no events” message, but that is different, but similar.

    event cancellation page:
    “you are about to change the following booking on cancellation page”
    “cancel the reservation” (on the button)
    again, this is similar to the delete and add booking form submit button messages on the settings rsvp page.

    Those are the only ones I have noticed so far, but there may be more.

    Some of those messages are yours to define, you should check the EME options.
    Some are defined only in the code, but are still localisation-ready. So if the translation in your language is not ok, you can contribute to it in wordpress.
    A workaround for some of those (the no-bookings/responses) can be to use the EME conditional tags to test the number of free seats compared to the total number and show a message accordingly.
    But I understand the need to be able to change those in the backend, so I’ll add options for that later on.

    I am not sure which ones can be defined on teh back end. I tried to find them, but couldn’t.

    W would be happy to suggest translations. I actually don’t speak japanese….someone is doing it for me. I am not sure how the translation thing works. If I add a translation does it automatically (at some point) get translated at the front end? How do the translations get enabled? Am I seeing them now without realizing it? All the messages I see seem to be in english..

    I will consider using conditional tags, but my coding skills are so bad that I am hesitant to go there…I will wait for the option to become available.
