Transition a little jumpy in Firefox 20

I’m not a very technical person, so this may be because something I’ve done with the CSS. I added the MSS to the home page of a web site that I’m making. It’s gorgeous! But… it seems that in Firefox 20, a split second before the images fade in and out, there’s a little jerky movement to each image. It enlarges with a twitch after the image fades in and another twitch smaller when it starts to fade out. Is this something I can fix?
