Transferring images from NextCellent the Media Library

    I know that we can add images from the WP media library to the galleries. But is there a way to transfer gallery images back to the media library. Initially, when I set up our website I had NextGen without the NextCellent Gallery media add on. As such I added a lot of images to the gallery, but didn’t want to upload them a second time to the WP media library. Now I have the plug-in and realize that it would be nice to combine both gallery and WP library, so I have one repository of images to pull from.

    I understand what you’re trying to accomplish, but this is unfortunately not officially supported at this time (meaning it isn’t available in NextCellent).

    There is however a third party solution: https://github.com/kovshenin/escape-ngg. However, I cannot give support for that plugin.

    Also not that you cannot have one repository of images to pull from: NextCellent and the WordPress gallery all use their own image repository, and there is no way of merging them.
