transferring from another site

    Hi we lost our programmer and access to our host. As a result the only thing we have is a back up of the database and the xml .. We recreated the website, but we would like to get our members that have paid back in the database, can you help guide us? Thanks

    You would need to gain access to the host to get to the databases. Your programmer didn’t leave that info or shared it with anyone? He didn’t leave files with host info? How about your purchasing dept having records of the transaction, so you could call the host to explain the situation?

    Hi @obertscloud,

    Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

    You are able to export the Member’s List and import the member’s again using the Import Users From CSV Integration. I also know that there are some plugins that allow you to backup everything from within the WordPress dashboard and download it.

    This could also work for you if you want to copy the site exactly.

    I would recommend in reaching out directly to the host or trying to get a hold of your previous developer to take over direct access as this may also affect your SEO standing (if you copy the site word-for-word on a new domain etc.)
