transferring files when moving to new host

  • Once my site was hacked and my webhost did a cleaning for me. they created a folder for sucuri and moved the bad files there.
    what is that folder for?

    and now i am moving my website to a new hosting plan. do i need to also backup and transfer this folder?

    i was asking something different

    my website works now.

    i am askning is it worht to keep that folder and also move it to other host, when i move my site to new host

    It’s up to you… if you think there’s anything there that might be important to recover later then I’d save them at least to a local hard drive on my own PC if I were you.

    The value of those files are probably questionable once the site is restored and has been repaired properly.

    I usually save them myself but very seldom find any further use for them later. Often the info, content, or images contained are available from another source anyway.

    I would be prepared to have them available until the migration is complete… just in case.
