• Hi,

I’m transferring my wp setup from one host to another. I’ve exported the wp_popularpostsdatacache file from the old, and imported it to the new. When I look in the settings, I can see posts under each time frame. However, when I switch to all-time and save, they disappear from there. No setting, however, makes anything show in the widget. Still just “no data”.

Also, it won’t hold onto any setting and keeps resetting to 7 days.

    Any ideas?

    Thx.

    Hi sjlocke,

For the All-time data, you also need to get the wp_popularpostsdata table.

I’m looking in my old db, and don’t see a table named that…

Odd, there should be one named like that. As I said above, that’s the table where All-time data is stored.

    Well rats.

I tried copying the “cache” to the “data” column and then clearing out the cache, but all it will show me is my data for the last 7 days, no matter what I click in the settings.

I copied the “day” column to the “last_viewed” as well, to make sure it matched.

By doing that you’re just moving the daily-weekly-monthly data from one table to another. The result will be the same.

My suggestion to you is try contacting your former hosting provider and see if they can get a full backup of your blog’s database. The wp_popularpostsdata table should be there with all your stats intact.
