Transferring blog–doesn't recognize transfer or username

    I have just switched to a self hosted blog and am at the point of actually “transferring” the blog. I went to my old wordpress.com login/dashboard, went to my blogs, clicked on transfer blog, but when I type in my email address that my www.remarpro.com is registered to, it tells me it can’t “transfer the blog to that username”. Any help or advice?! Thank you!!

    I have exported my content to my harddrive and tried to import it to my .org site, but I couldn’t get that to work either. Everytime I try to import it, it shows up as code but doesn’t import into my new blog.

    The part I am most confused about is why I can’t “transfer” my blog to my .org email address/username from my .com username. I was using the link above as a guide before, but cannot figure out why the part “Transferring Your Blog to Another User or Account” won’t work for me. Any advice or that part?

    Why? How exactly are you carrying the import out? How did you create the export file?

    wordpress.com has no connection to your self-hosted WordPress site.

    You would need to ask the folks over at wordpress.com about this. That’s not part of our documentation.

    My problem sounds like the one above. transfered my blog to a self hosted site, logged back n into my wordpress site and uploaded the exported file but my site doesnt show. no comments, posts etc. All i see is tags!!! Can anyone please help me or how do i contact the wordpress guys?
