• I’m in need of some information please. We have a website that someone created for us through wordpress, he now no longer wants to work on the website. If I’m going to takeover is there a way to transfer the existing plugin over to my account? Or will the plugins just stay there if I register the website to my wordpress account? Any info on this would be appreciated as we have 2 weeks to have it transferred over for me to keep updated.

    Thank you

  • Is it a live website or under development?

What do you mean by “register he website to my WordPress account”? Did you mean WordPress(.COM), the WordPress hosting service?

Here we only discuss about WordPress(.ORG), the open source CMS software.

Plugins are stored under /wp-content/plugins directory in WordPress installation. You copy a plugin directory when you want to transfer the plugin.

It is a live website. “register” is probably not the correct word, I mean when I added the web address to my wordpress account. I already contact the plugin email and they said this is not a question for them.
