• Hi,

I am moving a wordpress website to new hosting, it’s still the same domain.

I transferred the .sql and site files over, the whole site is up and running fine. The images that were currently uploaded to the site are showing up fine.

The problem I have is that any new images that I try to upload will not upload to the destination I am telling it to.
In the media tab, I am telling it to upload to the wp-contet/uploads and it will not go there, I changed the destination again and again and it seems to have a mind of it’s own. I checked php myadmin and the settings for the upload destination were fine. I also looked at the permissions for the upload folder, it was 777 so I changed that to 755 (because I saw it was recommended) but still not luck.

The old destination (from an image that is loading up fine) looks like this….

    https://mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/thumb2.jpg

However when I upload a new image inside a post it goes here…..

    https://mydomain.com/?attachment_id=962

Anyone know how I can change “/?attachment_id=962” back to this destination “wp-content/uploads/2010/10/thumb2.jpg”? (/2012/12)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Andy

have you discussed this with your hosting provider?

    Also try 766, or 767

If the above steps do not help, try deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin.
