Did you change the nameservers for your domain name? If so, how long ago? It can take up to 72 hours (usually less) for that to take effect across the internet.

JenR is spot on. And, if this is the case then this link will be helpful: https://wpengine.com/support/emulate-dns-change-with-the-hosts-file-trick/

I’ve switched over the wp.config file and it’s still not working. How can I just start from Scratch? I moved from 1and1 over to hostgator. I created a new wordpress folder / database on hostgator and not even getting to the just another wordpress page. I’m not too worried about saving the old information I just want to be able to get the domain up. Any ideas?

The site is available when I check it from here. Be patient, it should show up soon on your end, but depending on your Internet provider, this can take a few minutes or many hours. Hard to tell.

Still can’t access the site through any of my laptops that I work on, but can access via mobil. how can I fix this?

Try clearing the cache in your browsers. I had this same problem the other day and this resolved the issue.

Just cleared the cache in my browsers and this is still not working. Any other ideas? Website is researchcreditupdate.com

Try and update your hosts file on your machine to point to the ip address of the website. If you do that and it works then clear your DNS cache on your machine. Depending on your machine type i.e. Windows or Mac just google how to clear the DNS cache.

Hope that sorts it out for you.

Interestingly, I had a similar issue yesterday. It ended up being stale cache on my router. Which, given your “… can’t access the site through any of my laptops that I work on, but can access via mobil” comment my guess is you have a similar situation. Unless, of course, your mobile devices are using WiFi via the same router your laptops use. ??

The temp fix by the way was to edit my hosts file and literally tell my computer where to go IP address-wise. That’s what my link above was about. Here it is again:

    https://wpengine.com/support/emulate-dns-change-with-the-hosts-file-trick/

That’s also what lrdow is recommending as a temporary fix so you can access your site via your laptops now rather than have to wait for your DNS servers to update themselves.

P.S., I too am easily able to access https://researchcreditupdate.com/ using Mac Chrome 39.0.2171.95 (64-bit), Mac Firefox 34.0, and Mac Safari 8.0.2.

Clear all cache from your browser, delete all temporary files from your machine and finally try to access your website using IP Address.
