• Hello Everyone,
I would much like to transfer a website I made in Dreamweaver to WordPress. I have looked up many tutorials and blogs for days now and I still have some unresolved issues. Right now, I have WordPress installed and Im working with a local host server, Im using WAMP.
For that reason, I can’t provide a link to it.

As suggested in this blog post https://www.cybercoded.net/convert-static-html-site-to-wordpress-easily/
I have taken the index.html and changed it to home.php. That page is showing when I hit view site.
I have imported the rest of my Html pages using and page import plugin.
    I am currently struggling with:
-Applying the CSS to the imported pages, as a result
-Some Images links are broken, (the CSS related ones)
-and the pages are not linking together

I assume the latter one is because of the permalinks settings. I am not to sure how to set it up properly because I’m creating a new website for an existing one.

I am new with wordpress, if there is some missing information or if this is not making sense please let me know. I can’t wait to have this set up.
Thanks in advance for all of your time and suggestions.

Ohh boy! ,you have a long way to go, try and read some more blogs on “how to build wordpress themes”
    you need a header.php,index.php, page.php,single and maybe function.php
I’ll advice you to start with a blank theme, something like https://undercore.me . The just slap your styles on there.
    Good luck

Hi there thank for your reply!
I ended up getting a blank theme and entering my content in posts via the Text view. With the help of .html on PAGES plugging to keep my links. I looks exactly like it did when I made it.
