  • Have you tried searching? Its a helluva a concept, took me 30 seconds to find your answer.

    Moving WordPress

This is exactly why I don’t bother coming in here to ask questions because people are SO RUDE.

@labella Ignore them and ask your questions anyway. There are people who will help “without an attitude”.

Why is it “RUDE” (probably the most over-used word in America for this generation) to tell someone exactly the truth? What is the Codex, stickies, and search function for? Why must people who are too damned lazy to do something for themselves – and possibly actually learn something in the process – given a free ride all the time? What a crock of Bravo Sierra.

@labella, so how do you get answers to your questions? Perhaps by reading a few pages of the forum each day to see if someone else has the same problem, and how they solved it? Perhaps by searching the web?

Good – that’s exactly how it should be done! It’s just easier to ASK, right? Then when you screw something up you can always say “well I don’t know what happened, so and so TOLD me to do that!”

    Riiiight.

“…who are too damned lazy…” Like I said, so rude.

    Thank you figaro.

Here I am, searching for the answer to the question that starts this thread, and all I find is a thread that’s populated by abusive answers (unixgolf and saurus). How do you two know that lalaloser HASN’T been spending days trying to solve this problem? And why should it matter?
Bear in mind that some people have other things to do rather than spend hour after hour at their computer seeking arcane information that has little or no use except at this exact moment in time.
How do you transfer wordpress to another domain without losing post pages & comments anyway?

Using the Export and Import functions, respectively.

Bear in mind that some people have other things to do rather than spend hour after hour at their computer seeking arcane information that has little or no use except at this exact moment in time.

But we somehow have the time to answer the same questions over and over again? How presumptive of you.

We dont, and thats why the codex exists.

This isn’t an uncommon problem, rather it was one that could be found by a small amount of effort, i.e. searching the codex. This same question can probably be found a couple of times a day in the forums. It took me literally two minutes of searching to find the answer. All that was needed was again a SMALL amount of effort, not all day, not two days just a small amount of effort.

@chris madden, if you will take just a minute to come down from your high hill, you will notice I provided a link to the answer in my original reply.
