I have designed a website for a client via www.remarpro.com and they would like to have ownership of the website. How do I do this?

    By “via www.remarpro.com”, I assume you’ve built a website for a client.

    So, give them they keys.

    1. Make sure whoever’s owning it will be trained in how to be a WordPress admin. Then, create a new admin account for that person.

    2. If you’ve set up hosting under your name and/or credit card, make sure that’s transferred to them.

    3. Same for the domain. Make sure they own and pay for it.

    Then you’re done.

And you can sell them a nice maintenance agreement!

Agreed! Make sure they know enough that they aren’t going to break it… Then create a user account for them (make it sometging unique, since users named “admin” get targeted by baddies), and grant them Administrator role (or Editor role if you plan to keep your user account active in an admin role). If you give them Administrator rights, they can remove your account or take it down to the lowest level role.

Just be sure the site maintains at least one active Administrator to prevent potential lockouts.
