transfer my .org blog to a .com blog

  • I am attempting to transfer my entire blog from its current www.remarpro.com home to the wordpress.com blog platform. I exported all of the content from the old blog and imported all of that content to the new wordpress.com blog.

    The only question I have is now do I have to cancel my account with my hosting website so that I can get the same domain name that I had with the $17 a year domain service they have through wordpress.com?

  • Usually, domain names are separate from hosting. I’m not positive, of course, since I can’t see how your account is set up, but you should be able to configure your domain name to point to your WordPress.com blog.
