Transactions Cancelled using Authorize.Net

Can’t for the life of me figure out what’s wrong here –
Customer purchases a membership level using a credit card-all emails are sent properly and success page is shown to customer. In the WP dashboard, the transaction moves from “pending” to “cancelled” however and is voided. We contacted Authorize.Net and were told “After researching these two transactions, we are able to confirm that the void request was submitted by your website or shopping cart through the API”. Since we obviously didn’t do anything on our end – what could the problem possibly be?? Any test we run looks successful, but the transaction just isn’t processed – help!
