    Hello! Thanks for everything.

I am using the free version of BetterPayment and have been doing a lot of testing.

When using Paypal, I have found that the transaction email is not sent unless the customer presses the “return to shopping site” button on the Paypal screen after payment and returns to the Thank You page.

    ▽Capture of the screen

In other words, once you close the screen on the Paypal screen, you will not receive an email from BetterPayment with the transaction details.

Perhaps the email is sent starting from the display of the Thank You page, but very often customers close the PayPal screen and do not return to the shopping site.

If you are selling downloads, for example, and sending information about the members’ site and download URLs via email, it is critical that the emails are not sent.

So far, I have only tried PayPal, but is it possible to make it so that the email is sent without displaying the thank you page?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi @1wweb

    I hope you are fine.

I understand and respect your concern. And, I am sorry, but, currently, ?it is not possible to make it so that the email is sent without displaying the thank you page.
Actually, we sent the email based on the confirmation of payment, and for this reason, it needs to go to the ‘Thank you’ page by clicking on the ‘return to merchant’ button. I hope you will understand it.

However, I have forwarded your scenario to our dev team, and I think we can improve the feature in the future.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the quick response!

    I see…

Maybe this is not the best way to pay for products and services that send product keys and directions to member sites via email.

Well, I’ll put a notice around the purchase button that says, “Please be sure to press the Return to Shopping Site button to return to the site.

    Thanks!
