I believe I found the culprit after going through the source page. It seems there is a line pointing to the /h url

    background:url(h)

It is part of the code of an audio player in the Plus Addons for Elementor page builder plugin

I de-activated the plugin and both the /h and the path of /hand-made-furniture/ was gone

Don’t know how I could have missed it while troubleshooting. It may have been missed because of the cached situation.

I will contact the developers and pass this on to them but that’s not to say that it could be caused by another plugin not being compatible with The Plus Addons.

I will post the results here when I find out, At least we know now that it isn’t a WP core issue

Yeah, caching can confuse debugging attempts. It’s a pain to have to keep flushing the browser cache just in case something is cached. I wish it occurred to me to point out sooner that the network developer tool of your browser has an option to disable caching. There can still be server side caching though.

I’m glad you were able to zero in on the cause. I hope you’ll be able to resolve this soon.

It was in fact an issue with the plugin and the developers have fixed the problem.
My site is now loading as it should.

Thank you for all your help…
