Trailing '/' is being removed from canonical URL

When upgrading CPTP I noticed that the trailing “/” in my URLs is now getting removed in the canonical URL.

An example can be seen here:

https://noshon.it/recipes/thyme-paloma-cocktail/

If you look at the canonical URL in the source, the trailing slash is removed.

My URLs always have a ‘/’ added on, but the custom post canonical URLs are displayed without a slash which is causing issues with some social sharing numbers. I may revert to an older version for the time being but wanted to let you know about this issue. Please let me know if there’s anything I can try to fix it.
