After updating from downgraded 1.8.0 to newest version, traffic source tracking looks like this:

Organic search and others sources was most replaced by direct.

I tried to check if my settings for google consent mode v2 are wrong, but it looks like it’s not. Other data looks really fine. I don’t know how to resolve it. Traffic source it’s the only thing is losted.

  • Hi @paweljagat

After updating from downgraded 1.8.0 to newest version, traffic source tracking looks like this:

From what I gather, version 1.8.0 of Google Analytics for WooCommerce was activated at your store; until recently, when it was updated to the latest, version 2.1.2. This resulted in traffic source being lost in charts. Correct?

Per the plugin’s changelog, version 1.8.0 was released over a year ago (2023-05-02), therefore with every new update there were changes that were implemented, as with every software release.

Moreover, Google introduced?Consent Mode?in March 2024 to comply with privacy laws in the EEA/UK region. This means website visitors from these regions must now explicitly grant consent for cookies before any analytics tracking occurs. Further details can be found at the note up-top, here, in yellow background.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
