Traffic question
-
I’m thinking to use WordPress for one project I’m planning to launch.
I’ve never used WordPress before as CMS.
My question is caused by WordPress.com-vs-www.remarpro.com article. If you get a huge spike in traffic (like Digg or Slashdot) you site will probably go down
Of course I don’t expect such traffic as guys at Digg or Slashdot. But I do expect ~50 000 users a day at the first few months.
My question may be funny to you.
I understand WordPress is extremely popular platform.
And I think it may handle a few 100K per day, if you use dedicated server at good hosting. But I didn’t find any real world examples of it. Or may by I wrong. May be wordpress.com and www.remarpro.com are powered by WordPress and being a real world example.
Anyway, can someone answer:
is WordPress can handle 50K – 100K (~700K views per day)users a day, and what is the limit (if there is one)?
And a if you know some sites with 700K-1400K views per day, please write the URLs.P.S.
I feel stupid putting this question. Since the hosting (servers and bandwidth) are responsible for handle traffic.
But Is better to ask and feel stupid, than invest money and time and regret it.Thanks for your help!
