Traditional footer, with sidebar scroll effect

    I was wondering if it was possible to keep the sidebar fixed scroll effect while having a traditional footer, like one that spans 100% underneath the entire content of the site, rather than how twenty fifteen has it, in the ‘right/main’ column.. I tried playing with the JS in functions.php but am not talented enough for that. Am I wasting my time, or is this relatively easy for someone with skills?
