Tracking stops working with v.2+

I can’t update the plugin, because any version of it after (and including) the 2.0.0 makes the event tracking stop working.

Given that version 2.0.0 was released back in March of this year, let’s clarify the following first:

• What version of Google Analytics for WooCommerce is currently active on the site?
• Did you already have a chance to test with keeping only the core WooCommerce, and Google Analytics for WooCommerce, plugins active (and their latest versions respectfully), and see if the issue persists, or otherwise?

currently the 1.8.14 is active, at the moment we can’t test with only the WooCommerce plugin active.

In March, Google also introduced ?Consent Mode to comply with privacy laws in the EEA/UK region.

Without consent, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads won’t capture user data in these locations. The extension does not provide any UI, like a cookie banner, to let your visitors grant consent for tracking. However, it’s integrated with WP Consent API, so you can pick another extension that provides a user interface that meets your needs.

Due to this new requirement, you may notice a discrepancy between your store and Google Analytics/Ads data, as users must grant consent for analytics data to be captured on Google’s platforms.

Can you please confirm if you have set up everything need to comply with this? ??

In such case, feel free to go ahead with creating a staging site, make sure the latest versions of WooCommerce + Google Analytics for WooCommerce are installed and active, and test as detailed here.

Note, with regard to setting expectations, per our support policy, we support the latest version only.
